CF-080LSX4, Rev V4.5 (XLR I/O is possible)

Hybrid Line Stage Preamplifier

Advanced input circuitry and volume control circuitry are implemented with our proprietary Direct Signal Path Technology (DSPT). This combines with our low-distortion amplification section using the 12AU7 in cascode configuration to produce extremely fast transient response and clarity. This preamp is the closest thing to using no preamp at all, yet it provides sufficient gain to give music the drive and authority which no passive device can equal. Extraordinary resolution and immediacy from the shortest circuit path possible, implemented with our unique Direct Signal Path Technology. Unparalleled transparency and excellent channel separation from our proprietary minimalist dual electronic volume control. Lightning-fast transient response and crystalline clarity from our perfectionist low-distortion amplification section using the 12AU7 in cascode configuration. Perfectionist simplified and optimized circuitry allows the sound of the tubes themselves to emerge with unparalleled transparency―the meaning of the proverbial “straight wire with gain.” Quite simply, the closest thing to no preamp at all, but with drive and authority which no passive can approach

CDV-2 NW

CDV-2 SP

2 Way Tube Electronic Crossover (NW type)
Tube Bi-amp Spliter (SP type)

No matter how well a transducer(speaker units) is designed or made, it simply cannot reproduce the entire audio spectrum all by itself. That's why high-quality speaker systems use multiple speakers (woofer, mid-range and tweeter) to spread out the work. 2, 3, 4... way systems distribute the work even more, allowing the individual transducers(speaker units) to reproduce the frequency range for which they were designed. It is the electonic-crossover’s function to divide these tasks between the various amplifiers and transducers(speaker units).

ZL-120FX2

MOS-FET Monoblock Amplifier

We have achieved simplest possible circuitry with minimum number of components, with just two pairs of output MOS-FET’s per monoblock in BTL configuration with no overall NFB, achieving 180 watts @ 8 ohms.
-
It is a state-of-the-art power amplifier. Sonically pure and transparent. Revealing, yet involving. Transcending the traditional boundaries of vacuum tube and solid state designs.
-
The ZL-120FX improvements include the use of high quality, Japanese-made DC-DC converters in the input and driver stages, plus revisions in driver stage circuit board(LF-4 V2.0FX) and grounding layout. Unlike linear regulators, the high-tech DC-DC converters provide complete electric isolation between stages, which results in lower noise floor, "blacker" background, and superior reproduction of low-level information.
-
The ZL-120FX is a combination of the audio circuitry of the power supply section of its bigger brother, the ZL-200(Build-to-order manufacturing).
-
What this means is that the ZL-120FX is capable of delivering significantly more current when it's needed. Sonic improvements include more powerful and tighter bass, superior macro dynamics and the ability to drive less efficient loudspeakers with more authority. All this is achieved without compromising the existing virtues of the ZL-120FX—high speed, delicacy and exquisite rendition of details and micro dynamics—owing to its minimalistic design of the audio circuitry based on the BTL architecture with a relatively small number of New MOSFET output devices.

-Specifications-
Inputs: RCA only

ZL-200FX2

Reference Monoblock Amplifier

ZL-200 is an idealist, minimalist and non-compromise design with meticulous attention to detail in parts selection, layout, and construction.
-
We have achieved simplest possible circuitry with minimum number of components, with Four pairs of output MOS-FET’s per monoblock in BTL configuration with no overall NFB, achieving 180 watts @ 8 ohms.
-
It is a state-of-the-art power amplifier. Sonically pure and transparent.
Revealing, yet involving. Transcending the traditional boundaries of vacuum tube and solid state designs.
-
The unique sound of the ZL-200 is aptly described by Mr. Harry Pearson: "These monoblocks are the first solid-state amps I've heard that sound like a tubed unit, and by that I mean a very good tubed unit, on the order of say, the best conrad-johnson amp (vide, the ART III) but lacking the golden glow of the CJ sound, thus rather more uncolored than most, if not all, of the transistorized competition. It has the dynamics of good tubed unit, the focus on instruments and the sense of an ambient field that is characteristic of the old William Z. Johnson design for Audio Research.

"2012 TAS Editor’s Choice Award from Harry Pearson"
Concert Fidelity's flagship monoblock power amplifier, the ZL-200, received The Absolute Sound 2012 Editor's Choice Award from none other than Mr. Harry Pearson (TAS Issue 221, March 2012). We are extremely pleased and honored this designation by Mr. Pearson, the founder of the abso!ute sound and one of the most respected reviewers in the world today.

In Memory of Harry Pearson

It has been 40 years since I first put my hands on the abso!ute sound. Although he had never taught me in Pearson, in my mind he was a great teacher and I learned so much about audio as an art of reproduction from his publications. If it weren't for him I wouldn't have set my foot into the audio industry. In that sense I owe everything to him. I was fortunate to have an opportunity to visit Sea Cliff in 2009. Listening to his impeccably set-up system --which included the components I designed and built-- I was able to understand, for the first time, what the high-end audio reproduction is in the true sense. I felt tremendous honor, and at the same time, I realized I had much more to learn from him. He was generous, jovial, encouraging, and he always had that mischievous twinkle in his eyes. Together with the memory of this visit, I will treasure for the rest of my life the very first issue of the abso!ute sound he presented to me. His philosophy, principles and techniques regarding music reproduction will continue to guide me in my own quest for the absolute sound. His legacy will certainly live on in the hearts and minds of thousands of audiophiles and hundreds of high-end audio designers and engineers.
